Less Than Perfect
A great read from Winnie Lim on the idea of a Minimum Effective Dose when it comes to just getting started on something. I cam across it on the front page of Hacker News today, so some nice conversation on it there, too.
This resonated with me, as I recently touched on this topic. The best time to do something, no matter the extent, is now; not when you have more time, have the right tools, more money, etc.
Winnie emphasizes that we don't have to be good at everything, and that small efforts over time can amount to impressive results. I can relate to the idea of being an all-or-nothing personality. And I can confirm that burnout is real. So less-than-perfect efforts may actually be a more sustainable process anyway!
